The perfect present for a Grandparent

A perfect present for your grandparent is one that leaves them smiling like this:

This is my lovely Nan and for her 90th Birthday, back in September, we decided to take her for afternoon tea at Stoneleigh Abbey. Most people will understand the struggle when it comes to Christmas or your Grandparents’ Birthday and you have to come up with an idea of what to buy them. You’ve already bought them endless pairs of slippers, chocolates, socks and bath smellies. You’re stuck. We found buying them an experience is perfect and gives them memories to remember – this is why we found going for Afternoon Tea was a perfect present. A bonus: you can find all sorts of deals on websites such as Wowcher that gives you discounts on different experiences.

This is Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire. It is an incredible building and grounds with scenic views. The afternoon tea is served in a building which appears like a renovated greenhouse – absolutely gorgeous.

The actual afternoon tea we were given was lovely – I mean, who could complain about having unlimited tea?! You were given different types of sandwiches, scones and a choice between 4 cakes (of course I chose Red Velvet).

Although this was back in the summer, and sadly I no longer have the tan, I still remember the day and the memories we made and it was lovely to see Nan so happy.

We had a lovely day and I would definitely recommend Stoneleigh Abbey, however there are so many other places that offer lovely afternoon teas. Remember you don’t have to spend a fortune on a present – Grandparents simply enjoy spending time with their Grandchildren.
